📱 Phone Photography Workshop – Sunday 6th July, 10am–1pm

Learn how to take better photos using just your phone – no fancy equipment, no overwhelm. Just simple, practical tips to help you feel confident and creative behind the lens.

If you’ve ever felt frustrated with your phone photos not looking quite how you imagined them, you’re not alone – and you’re definitely not doing anything wrong. Most of us were never actually shown how to use the camera in our pocket to its full potential. That’s where this workshop comes in.

Led by me, Tina – founder of Capture 24 Creative and brand photographer for passionate small businesses – this relaxed, hands-on session is all about making photography simple, fun, and confidence-boosting.

Whether you’re a small business owner, a maker, content creator, or just someone who wants to take better photos of their everyday, this workshop will give you the tools (and the creative spark!) to do just that.

🧡 What we’ll cover:

This isn’t about technical jargon or professional kit. It’s about understanding why certain photos work, and how you can recreate them using your phone and natural light. Together, we’ll explore:

• Lighting: Discover how to work with natural light – both indoors and outdoors – and how light direction affects your final image.

• Angles & Perspective: Learn how to move your body and use your environment to capture your subject in the most flattering or eye-catching way.

• Composition: Master simple rules like the rule of thirds, leading lines, and negative space to instantly improve your photo framing.

• Phone Camera Settings: Get to grips with portrait mode, live mode, time-lapse, zoom, and more – and how to use them without compromising quality.

• Styling for Products & Branding: Set the scene in a way that feels personal, polished and on-brand. Props, colour, balance – we’ll cover it all.

• Storytelling: Learn how to take photos that show not just what you do, but why you do it.

• Editing: Keep it natural with simple edits using your phone or free apps like Snapseed – no filters needed!

You’ll also take part in guided activities throughout the morning, so you can put everything into practice as you learn.

🌿 Who is this for?

This workshop is designed for beginners and non-techy creatives who want to feel more confident taking photos that actually reflect their brand, business, or life. If you’ve been relying on luck, filters or stock imagery – and you’d rather create something more you – this is for you.

You don’t need a fancy background or studio. You just need your phone, some curiosity, and a love for capturing moments.
